Powell Gilbert has once again retained its Tier 1 ranking in the Intellectual Property: Patents (Contentious and Non-Contentious) category in The Legal 500 UK Solicitor rankings for 2024, while more PG lawyers than ever before have been individually commended.
Firm founding partners Penny Gilbert and Tim Powell are once again listed in the Hall Of Fame for the contentious and non-contentious patent category, while Penny is also included in the Hall Of Fame for Life Sciences and Healthcare.
Partners Simon Ayrton and Zoë Butler are named as Leading Individuals in the patents category, which also includes a further three colleagues – Peter Damerell, Dr Bethan Hopewell and Dr Tess Waldron – who are recommended as Next Generation Partners. In total, fifteen PG lawyers were individually named in this year’s ranking.
The firm’s ranking also highlights various high-profile matters that the firm has been involved in over the past year, advising and/or acting for clients in major cross-border litigation cases.
As well as being ranked Tier 1 for its contentious and non-contentious patent work, the firm is also ranked in two additional categories: Life Sciences and Healthcare and TMT > Intellectual Property: Trade Marks, Copyright and Design
