Sidd is an experienced patent litigator, specialising in advising clients on European patent litigation strategies in national courts and the UPC. He is widely recognised for his considerable experience in managing technically complex cross-border patent disputes and brings particular strength in life sciences matters, drawing on his scientific background.

Sidd has acted in many of the UK’s most significant patent disputes of recent years, including in two landmark Supreme Court victories which have helped shape modern UK patent law (Warner-Lambert v Actavis and Regeneron v Kyamb).

Sidd is also one of the early advocates shaping UPC practice. He has represented clients in multiple divisions and the Court of Appeal, including the landmark decision in Meril v Edwards on inventive step and the availability of final injunctions where the public interest is engaged.

Sidd joined Powell Gilbert  in 2012 and became a partner in 2019.
