Jodie has experience in a range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters including patent, trade mark, copyright, design and confidential information matters. She has assisted several large pharmaceutical clients in patent litigation relating to biosimilars and biotechnology, where her technical background has been an asset. Her experience of contentious patent matters also extends to the mining & engineering, consumer goods, and software sectors.
Jodie holds a degree in biochemistry from the Australian National University, where she conducted laboratory research regarding prodrugs, protein structure and drug design.
Jodie joined Powell Gilbert in 2022.
