James has experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters across a range of intellectual property rights, including patent litigation in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices industries. Prior to joining Powell Gilbert, James gained experience at a leading intellectual property firm in Australia and was the associate to a judge at the Federal Court of Australia.
James graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Science and Molecular Biology and a BForensics in Forensic Biology and Toxicology from Murdoch University.
James joined Powell Gilbert in 2022.
