Callum is an established intellectual property litigator with a practice primarily focused on patents. His experience spans numerous sectors, including pharmaceuticals, mechanical devices, medical devices and telecommunications. He also has significant expertise in damages inquiries, especially those brought pursuant to cross-undertakings linked to preliminary / interim injunctions.

In the UK, Callum has represented clients across the spectrum of intellectual property courts and tribunals. Internationally, he has acted before the Unified Patent Court and he is regularly engaged in multi jurisdictional patent litigation strategies, working closely with cross border teams.

Callum’s broader IP practice has included copyright issues in the publishing sector, design right litigation in the fashion industry, and automotive trade mark disputes.

As a barrister qualified in multiple jurisdictions, Callum holds rights of audience before all courts in England & Wales and Ireland (and other European courts).

Callum joined Powell Gilbert in 2015 and became a Partner in April 2026.
